Careers

Take the
whole case.

We are always looking for litigators who want to work a case from the first client call to the last appellate brief. We are a small firm, so our associates work on everything, directly with both partners.

The full range of litigation

Associates here draft complaints and answers, take and defend depositions, write and argue motions, try cases, and brief appeals. Our cases run across commercial, real estate, insurance, lending, and injury disputes, in state and federal court, on both sides of the v.

Because the same lawyers stay with a case from start to finish, you see how each stage shapes the next: how discovery sets up summary judgment, how the trial record becomes the appeal.

Built around your strengths

Not every litigator wants the same mix of work. Some associates want to be on their feet in court as often as possible. Others want to become exceptional writers, and we welcome them: much of what decides a case happens in the dispositive motion, the writ petition, and the appellate brief.

Tell us what you do best and what you want to learn, and we will shape your work around both.

How we teach

Do the work.
Watch the work.
Learn from both.

We teach by working cases together. Sometimes you take the lead and a partner supervises, reviews your drafts, and works beside you. Sometimes a partner takes the lead and you watch, take notes, and ask why.

Both partners spent years at large firms supervising associates before starting this one. Here, associates get responsibility early, in court and on the page, with partners working the case alongside them.

Who we look for

Lawyers who want responsibility early and the judgment to handle it.

We prefer candidates who bring one of the following:

Litigation experience

A couple of years of litigation practice.

A federal clerkship

A clerkship with a United States district court or court of appeals.

A state appellate clerkship

A clerkship with a state court of appeals or supreme court.

Tell us about yourself.
